About Us

Save Their Smiles is a one-of-a-kind program to provide dental education and care around the globe, one child at a time.
The dental program is one of a kind as it is an attempt to insert dental education and basic care into an already existing local health outreach designed for babies and toddlers 0-4 years of age, as well as trying to continue that outreach in the form of ongoing dental education and fluoride application for children ages 4-18. It is our hope that in this way, we will build the routines of good dental hygiene into a large group of indigenous peoples who have, at this point, essentially no knowledge of dental disease, its health consequences, and how to stay healthy.
Our Mission
Our mission can be summed up in one sentence: To improve the life-long dental health of villagers by teaching children to care for their teeth and by providing them with the means to do so. Efforts are focused on empowering individual and communities to help themselves to create sustainable improvement in dental health, not only now, but in the future.
Our Vision
To help people around the globe, one child at a time. The Dental Health Initiative known as Save Their Smiles can be applied in any remote part of the world where dental health is an issue. Our plan is to start in one corner of the world, and work our way out.
Because our goal is to change the long-term health and habits of a people, the project is scheduled to run at least 10 consecutive years in as many villages as we can reliable deliver services (i.e. rather one village for 10 years, then ten villages for 1 year.) How many people we can reach depends on how much financial support we receive. Please help us in our efforts!
