Who We Are

Hanna Ekström, D.V.M
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Ekström has worked with both Partners in Health and Healing the Children on various projects in Central America. Initially, her efforts were focused solely on improving the health and economy of impoverished people via her veterinary work, but she became interested in providing dental education and cavity prevention when she saw the state of the teeth of the children that followed her around on her veterinary rounds. The children were in so much pain, and all for the lack of a toothbrush and a little education… and so Save Their Smiles was born.
Dr Hanna Ekström graduated with honors from Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. She currently owns her own veterinary practice, At Home Vet, located in Woodinville, Washington. You can find her at www.YourAtHomeVet.com.
Dr. Ekström can also be reached at her veterinary office at 425-402-0187, or by email at info@savetheirsmiles.org.
