Fundraising/Goodsraising goals for 2017:
Fundraising goals beyond 2017:
Our goal is to raise enough money to fund 10 years of this project, and villages may be added as work progresses. All yearly expenses are recurrent, except for the wooden boxes and manila folders, which will be reused every year. As villages are added, additional educational flip charts will need to be generated and transported to location. Furthermore, any additional educators added to payroll will need a bicycle to be purchased for their work, as well as panniers, a tent, and a flashlight.
Again, donations may be sent to:

THANK YOU for helping! Please rest assured that 100% of all dollars go towards the dental program on the ground in Nicaragua. Volunteers pay all their expenses out of pocket so every single cent goes to pay for toothbrushes, fluoride, or educational materials. Expense reports will be posted biannually on the website, as will progress reports on how many children are enrolled in the program.
- 10,000 toothbrushes (5000 already delivered)
- 6000 doses of fluoride varnish for the children 0-4 years of age
- 18,000 doses of fluoride gel for children 5-17 years of age
- 10 Educational flip charts in Miskito
- Exam gloves 27,000 pairs per year.
- Money to cover shipping of supplies to Bilwaskarma
- Money to buy a Save Their Smiles tee-shirt for 60 local volunteers to denote their volunteer status.
- Money to pay wages for three local educators, the inventory manager, and the local project manager
- Money to buy waterproof panniers for the bicycles to transport project goods.
- Money to maintain bicycles (the men wear through the wheels on the bicycles about three times/year, as they travel long distances and the roads are in very poor condition. In addition, we also need funds to purchase bicycle parts on occasion, as wear and tear dictates.
- A boat to travel to villages along the river and that can serve as an emergency vehicle for patients in need of transportation to the local hospital several hours away.
- A car to travel to villages inland.
- Money to rebuild our dental clinic! We have grown out of our current home!
